I don't think one is necessarily better than the other. Don't get me wrong, I love the fuck out of GTA but I have a lot of criticisms of it, especially about GTA Online. Cars feel very different to drive, while the guns all feel the same to shoot. The driving in GTA has exactly what the weapons are missing, and that is nuance. I do think the driving itself is better than Sleeping Dogs' NFS style driving, as I personally prefer the more realistic approach. Whether running or driving, getting anywhere in GTA always felt like a chore unless there was a constant danger from cops or something. Movement was also a lot more fun in Sleeping Dogs.
